I'm done! Now what?
This is where VirtualDub will finally come into play.
After downloading it, however, there are a few complicated steps you need to follow. 1. Copy and paste the following into a notepad (.txt) document LoadPlugin("c:\Program Files (x86)\Aegisub\csri\vsfilter-aegisub32.dll")
AVISource("c:\users\REPLACEUSER\Desktop\REPLACETITLE.avi")
TextSub("c:\users\REPLACEUSER\Desktop\REPLACETITLE.ass")
2. Replace the "REPLACEUSER" with the name of your user (mine is 'dad') If you don't know the name of your user, go to "Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Users" there you will see folders of the user names. Replace "REPLACETITLE" with the respective names of your files- letter by letter, space by space. >>> 3. Make sure both the .ass and .avi files are on your desktop. If you wish to encode them somewhere else, you must change the script yourself. 4. Once everything in the script is correct, go to "File > Save As..." and save the file anywhere with the extension .avs >>> 5. Now that the file is a .avs, open up VirtualDub. 6. Drag the .avs file into VirtualDub. 7. ESSENTIAL STEP. At the top menu bar of VirtualDub, click Video > Compression. Choose "Xvid MPEG-4 Codec" and press OK. By doing this, you are compressing your video file so it isn't giant! >>> 8. Next, go to "File > Save As AVI" and save the file anywhere on your computer. It will take some time to execute the video file depending on its size. |
